Grade 1 Students “Grow It Green” with Clean Compost

Grade one has been learning to collect clean compost and the many ways in which composting can benefit our environment. Every week they collect food scraps to transport to New Jersey’s largest public school garden – the Urban Farm – managed by Grow It Green of Morristown. Their enthusiasm has spread to our own Flik Dining Services who are also collecting compost for the effort. (Contains video)
Peck has partnered with Farmer Shaun and Grow It Green Morristown for several years. We celebrate their mission to create sustainable farms and gardens, and educate communities on healthy eating and environmental stewardship.
