The Peck School is excited to offer a variety of Summer Program classes with a range of academic enrichment and recreational activities designed for children in PreK through eighth grade. These in-person classes are sure to provide your child with an engaging, exciting, and fun summer experience with Peck! See camp descriptions below. Registration for the Peck Summer Program opens at 8 a.m. on Sunday, February 11!
Registration deadline is May 1.
Classes run between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
BeforeCare is free and runs between 8:30 and 9 a.m.
AfterCare is $125 per week and runs between 3 and 5 p.m.
Lunch is $100 per week for campers in grades 1-8. (Exception: Lunch is included in JumpStart and Arts Academy.)
There will be a t-shirt with enrollment!
Peck reserves the right to cancel any program that does not have sufficient enrollment.
Instructors may change based on availability.
No refunds will be issued after May 1*.
*After May 1, no refunds will be given on tuition, including for days missed during the camp season. If a child violates a camp policy, fails to uphold the values of Peck, or otherwise acts in a manner that is deemed harmful, the child may be dismissed from camp. In the event of dismissal or voluntary withdrawal of any camper, it will be at the discretion of the camp as to whether a refund, if any, will be given.
Entering Gr. 1-5: JumpStart with Peck Instructors JumpStart your summer program experience with a classic camp experience! With games, crafts, and fun activities, our JumpStart week promises to be an enriching and entertaining way to kick off the summer! Lunch is included.

Entering Gr. 5-8: Arts Academy (Max. 14) With Mr. Beil Spend three days diving deep into visual art! With Mr. Beil as your guide, you will have an opportunity to enhance your skills in drawing, painting, and sculpting. Throughout the week, we will work on numerous projects that may include: pencil sketching, charcoal drawing, acrylic painting, sculpture, and a passion project. During this fun-filled experience of art and creativity, you will build an exciting portfolio of your original artwork. Lunch is included. Fee: $450
Week 1 Aftercare (3 - 5 p.m)
Aftercare is offered for students requiring childcare after the regular camp day. Students will either play outside or engage in games and activities indoors. Snacks will be provided.

Incoming Peck Kindergartners: "K" Express With Mrs. Mohr and Mrs. Young We invite incoming Peck kindergarten students to join us for our popular "K" Express with teachers Maribel Mohr and Kristin Young! This full-day camp is an excellent introduction to Peck's campus and facilities, as well as an opportunity for the Peck Class of 2033 to begin forming relationships with each other and their future teachers. Students should bring a nut-free lunch. Snacks will be provided. Fee: $560

Entering Gr. 1-2: Mixed Media Masterpieces (Max 10) With Mrs. Walker Embrace your love of materials and use paint, paper, wire, and found objects to create mixed media masterpieces! We will look at contemporary art for inspiration as we create 2D and 3D pieces of art. Fee: $280
Entering Gr. 1-3: Dinosaurs and More! (Max 10) With Ms. Monkemeier Embark on a thrilling adventure into the prehistoric past and the fascinating world of dinosaurs! Young explorers will learn about different dinosaur species, excavate items, and engage in a variety of themed crafts—all centered around the awe-inspiring realm of dinosaurs. Don't miss out on this incredible journey! Fee: $280
Entering Gr. 1-5: Basketball (Max 20) With Mr. McMillen This sports experience class is all about basketball! Get ready to sharpen your skills and build new friendships as you dive into this sport. Activities are geared towards skill reinforcement, sportsmanship development, teamwork building, problem-solving, communication improvement, and leadership enhancement. Students will be placed in groups that match their age and skill level. Fee: $280
Entering Gr. 2-3: Writer's Club (Max 10) With Ms. Russo Do you love to read and write? Do you have a story that would make a fantastic book? Get creative and dive into the writing zone! During this class, you will develop your writing skills and become the author and illustrator of your very own book! Fee: $280
Entering Gr. 3-5: Chemical Solutions (Max 10) With Dr. Kennedy This chemistry-themed class extends students' science knowledge as they build density columns, explore oobleck, and investigate if Diet Coke is really the best soda for Mentos explosions! Fee: $280
Entering Gr. 5-8: Laser Cutter Creations (Max 10) With Mr. Beil Experience the awesome possibilities of combining art, imagination, and lasers! Bring your art to life in exciting new ways using our Epilog Laser Cutter: transform a sketch into a 3D sculpture, make a piece of 3D wall art for your room, or turn an idea into a piece of jewelry, a keychain, a puzzle, a metallic trading card, or even your own board game! Fee: $280
Entering Gr. 8: SSAT Prep (Max 18) With Mr. Wilkinson and Mr. Guss This class is designed to review the concepts and exercises that are covered on the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). It will be divided between the math and verbal sections. Instruction time will include formal lessons on test concepts, test-taking strategies, and practice tests. This class is suited for students who have not yet taken the test and for students needing a review. Students will receive their own SSAT book. Fee: $280

Entering Gr. 1-3: Math Explorer Camp (Max 10) With Ms. Attah Reinforce your mathematical thinking with this hands-on math adventure! Campers will solve puzzles, find geometry in nature, and dive into the math behind designing and building structures. This class builds on a number of mathematical concepts that pertain to spatial awareness, measurement, symmetry, logical thinking, pattern identification, and more! Fee: $280
Entering Gr. 1-3: Digital Storytelling (Max 10) With Mrs. Garvey Do you love creating stories and poetry? Do you love tech? Have fun with both and bring your stories to life using multimedia applications like Book Creator, iMovie, and more! You will learn the latest features of these programs and how to enhance your stories for your audience to enjoy. Fee: $280
Entering Gr. 1-5: All About Sports With Mr. Guss If you love everything about sports then this camp is for you! We will split our time between sports games/activities and sports trivia. Fun competition awaits! Students will be placed in groups that match their age and skill level. Fee: $280
Entering Gr. 2-4: STEAM Nature Camp (Max 10) With Ms. Vitiello Calling all curious young explorers! Investigate nature through hands-on activities that combine outdoor exploration and inquiry-based learning. Students will conduct experiments and engage in engineering design challenges using natural materials through activities like the Ultimate Sail Competition, building an insect or fairy house, making homemade ice cream, and more! Fee: $280
Entering Gr. 3-5: Fun With Textiles (Max 10) With Mrs. Walker Explore the wonderful world of textile art and learn what you can create using fabrics, yarn, and string! Basic sewing techniques will be taught to create unique soft sculptures. Embroidery, weaving, and fabric collage will also be introduced. Fee: $280
Entering Gr. 4-8: Chamber Music Academy With Ms. Monkemeier Do you currently play an instrument? Then sign up to work on music reading, theory, and new pieces in a small chamber ensemble that will perform on the last day of this camp! Fee: $280
Entering Gr. 5-8: Digital Painting and Photo Editing (Max 12) With Mr. Beil Spend the week on the cutting edge of digital art! With an Apple Pencil and iPad as your tools, explore the exciting possibilities of professional art software like ProCreate and Sketchbook Pro. Create original digital paintings, enhance your photographs, transform objects, stitch unrelated images together, and create eye-popping special effects. Mr. Beil will guide you through a series of projects that will excite your imagination, boost your art skills, and enhance your experience with digital art. Fee: $280

Ages 3-5: Pre-K Adventures (Max 18) With Mrs. Mohr and Mrs. Young Calling all playful preschoolers! Do you like to create, build, imagine, explore, and make new friends? Then this is the camp for you! Whether you’re digging in the garden, creating a masterpiece, or designing and building your invention, you’re sure to enjoy the Peck Pre-K Summer Adventures in our cheerful kindergarten building. This half-day, morning-only camp is for children ages 3 to 5 who are not yet entering kindergarten in September. Children must be fully potty-trained in order to attend this camp. Fee: $350
Entering Gr. 1-3: Nature and Art (Max 14) With Mrs. Walker Using the natural world as our inspiration for the week, we will explore a range of techniques and processes to create unique pieces of art. Some projects will include plant and leaf prints, observational drawings and paintings, and handmade paper. Weather permitting, we will create some of our art outdoors! Fee: $350
Entering Gr. 1-3: Game On! (Max 20) With Mr. Guss Relay races, crazy tag, minute-to-win-it, obstacle courses, and yard games! Join Mr. Guss and your friends for a summer camp class that is just pure fun. Let’s run around and have a ball! Fee: $350
Entering Gr. 2-6: Claymation (Max 10) With Mr. Beil Enjoy a fun-filled week exploring the art of stop-motion clay animation (Claymation) and create your very own short film. In this session, you will learn how to plan a storyboard, draw & sculpt characters, craft backgrounds, film with cameras, and use computer software to edit and add sound effects to your movie. After a fun week of creating, you will see your imagination come to life on the big screen at our Peck Summer Camp Film Festival, which takes place on the last day of camp. Fee: $350
Entering Gr. 4-8: Woodworking in the Kitchen (Max 10) With Ms. Dietz This class is about wooden utensils and the food that goes with them! You will use classic woodworking hand tools like files, rasps, and saws to make wooden kitchen items and then explore different cooking processes to make tasty snacks! We will make HOMEMADE ICE CREAM* and ice cream spoons, homemade butter* and jam, and spreading knives. You'll serve it all up on your mini cutting board! *Dairy-free options will be available. Fee: $350

Entering Gr. 1-3: Ultimate LEGO Camp (Max 14) With Ms. Attah Young builders and LEGO enthusiasts, let your creativity, imagination, and building ideas unite! Activities will include themed challenges and a lot of creative building time; improving skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and engineering. Fee: $350
Entering Gr. 1-3: Sunshine Club (Max 18) With Ms. Russo School's out...and so is the sun! Celebrate the start of summer with fun outdoor activities and crafts, such as making sun catchers, planting flowers, making bird feeders, and tye-dye projects. Most importantly, we'll make fun summer memories together! Fee: $350
Entering Gr. 3-5: For the Love of Food (Max 14) With Mrs. Walker Food has been a beloved subject of many artists for centuries in painting, collage, and sculpture. We will be inspired by various artists who have used food as their muse to create drawings, paintings, and sculptures. Some artists that we will look at include Wayne Thiebaud, Claes Oldenburg, Lucy Sparrow, Nicola McBride, and Kate Malone. Fee: $350
