Peck is a school of Timeless Traditions and Timely Transformation. When you visit us, you will observe a timelessness about our school, from the common courtesies exchanged throughout campus, to the student uniforms, to the emphasis on time-tested values and character development, to our commitment to ensure our many traditions -- including family-style dining, time-honored field days, grade-level culminating events, cross-grade community building events -- not only continue, but also thrive and thoughtfully evolve. We are also a school that honors childhood. In a time when it seems children grow up too soon, we are committed to letting them stay younger, for a little bit longer, in our tight-knit K-8 community where each child is known, valued, and supported.
We also take pride in the transformational component of the Peck experience. Time and time again I’ve observed remarkable, individual growth as children become leaders, scholars, mentors, and so much more. Our curriculum and approaches to teaching and learning continue to evolve and transform as we implement our 2015 Strategic Plan. And we’re also in the midst of an exciting time with our campus undergoes a metamorphosis to fit the deep and dexterous teaching and learning demanded by today’s world.
But the the best way to truly learn about Peck is to visit us in person for a personalized tour of our beautiful, historic campus. When you have the opportunity to walk amongst our students, explore our learning spaces, and see our teachers and students engaged in inquiry, self-expression, problem-solving, and design-thinking—I know you’ll come away believing in the timeless and transformative power of a Peck education. Here, you will find joyful students, engaged and committed teachers, and a community ready to welcome you with open arms.
