Recognized Winter Athletes

Each season, our community comes together and recognizes athletes within our community for their sportsmanship, perseverance, and Peck Pride. Here is our first round of recognized athletes for the winter season!

Lower School

Gigi Cox, Gr. 1: Gigi is an outstanding athlete who never cuts corners just to be the first to complete a task. Gigi works through a challenge and puts forth her best effort while supporting those around her with encouraging words. Gigi always plays by the rules and is respectful whether her team wins or loses.

Bobby Loveday, Gr. 2: Bobby is the epitome of a respectful classmate, teammate, and opponent. He listens intently when others speak, includes everyone in each activity, and his sportsmanship is always stellar.  He celebrates the accomplishments of others and never brags or boasts after a win. Bobby is genuinely happy when others do well, and his kindness is evident in everything he does.

Upper School

Roshan Prassad, Gr. 6: When you think about hard-working, respectful, kind, and considerate, you think of Roshan. Not only have his skills shined this Winter, especially in Handball, but his willingness to be a good teammate, friend, and competitor has been evident as well. Roshan always uses his intelligence and ability to find ways to succeed in every class. His respect for his teammates and coaches is second to none, and we are incredibly proud of his demeanor on and off the court.

Grayson Materne, Gr. 7: Throughout the volleyball season, Grayson has shown respect to her teammates through her dedication to the team. Despite injury, she continues to contribute during practices and is quick to help out at matches by doing the book or being a line judge. Pre injury, Grayson always practiced and played with intensity. Thank you to Grayson for setting the standard for how to make the best out of each day as a Peck athlete.

Max Melchionni, Gr. 7: Max has been a joy to watch mature this basketball season. Already skilled, he has worked extremely hard on becoming a better player and teammate. He holds the utmost respect for his teammates and coaches and shows it on and off the court. Max’s play speaks for itself this past month, holding the most points scored on the team, scoring 18 in Peck’s first victory over Unity Charter. “Quit” is not in his vocabulary and he is a model of how to give 1000% at all times.

Daniela DiPisa, Gr. 8: Daniela is the consummate team player. She is poised and focused on the basketball court, always looks to help others shine, and raises the play of those around her. As a captain, she quietly leads by example and respects her teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials. She approaches each challenge with grit and determination. Congratulations to Daniela for constantly pushing herself and others to be their best.

Congratulations to all of our Athletes of the Month!
