World Cultures Night at The Peck School 

Students stamped ‘passports' after completing activities at nearly a dozen booths with crafts and projects that highlight a country or culture—from making rangoli out of sand, to designing their own Fabergé eggs, to learning about African beading while creating necklaces and bracelets.

Guests also tasted food from around the world during the potluck-style International Feast, watched a multicultural fashion show, and danced the night away with DJ Jude.

The night was hosted by the Peck Parents Association's World Cultures Committee, in collaboration with Head of the Lower School Nina Sharma. The group also hosted two all-school assemblies earlier this year, one focused on Diwali and the other on five African countries.

“World Cultures Night is the culmination of our yearlong celebration of culture and it is such an important part of school culture to foster cultural competency and belonging among all of our students and families,” said Sharma.

“And we couldn’t have done this without the generosity of our parents, faculty, and staff volunteers,” she continued. “Thank you to everyone who made this such a wonderful and successful event for our community!”
