On February 1, we celebrated Lunar New Year beginning on the first new moon of the lunar calendar cycle. The festival lasts for 15 days, until the next full moon, ending with a Festival of Lights.
Our kindergarteners put on a spectacular parade, banishing Nian with loud noises and the color red, and we had parents and members of our community share their families’ traditions!
