The Peck School is excited to offer a variety of Summer Program classes with a range of academic enrichment and recreational activities designed for children in PreK through eighth grade. These in-person classes are sure to provide your child with an engaging, exciting, and fun summer experience with Peck! If you need to change your child's registration or have questions, please contact Christina Dietz at cdietz@peckschool.org.
BeforeCare is free and runs between 8:30 and 9 a.m.
AfterCare is $125 per week and runs between 3 and 5 p.m.
Lunch* (11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) is $100 per week. If your child will remain on campus during the lunch hour please register for lunch. *Exception: Lunch fee is included in JumpStart cost.
There will be a t-shirt with enrollment!
Peck reserves the right to cancel any program that does not have sufficient enrollment.

Rising Gr. 1-5: JumpStart with Peck Instructors JumpStart your summer program experience with a new old fashioned camp experience! Reminiscent of those golden summer camp days, our JumpStart week promises to be an enriching and entertaining way to kick off the summer! Lunch is included with this full day program.

Rising Gr. 5-8: Arts Academy AM with Scott Beil (Max. 14) Spend three days diving deep into Visual Art. With Mr. Beil as your guide, you will have an opportunity to enhance your skills in drawing, painting, and sculpting. Throughout the week, we will work on numerous projects that may include: pencil sketching, charcoal drawing, acrylic painting, sculpture, and a passion project. During this fun-filled experience of art and creativity, you will build an exciting portfolio of your own original artworks Fee: $250
Rising Gr. 5-8: Summer Band Intensive with Elizabeth Monkemeier (Max 15) This class is for students with prior instrumental experience (winds/percussion/brass/strings). Students will develop skills through warmups and scales, as well as learn more theory. Students will learn music to perform on the last day of the week in a small concert/demonstration. Students will be provided with materials and have a mix of music theory and rehearsal instruction. Fee: $250
Afternoon Classes: 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.

Incoming Peck Kindergartners: K-Express with Maribel Mohr and Kristin Young We invite incoming Peck kindergarten students to join us for our popular "K" Express with teachers Mrs. Mohr and Mrs. Young. This full-day, week-long camp is an excellent introduction to Peck's campus and facilities, as well as an opportunity for the Peck Class of 2032 to begin forming relationships with each other and their future teachers. Kindergarten Express will run full-day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fee: $700

Rising Gr. 1-3: Move, Drum, Xylofun with Sebastian Guerrero (Max 10) Take your love of music to the fun and exciting realm of the xylophones, movement and drumming. Mr. Guerrero will guide the class in various games and activities focused on integrating movement, rhythm and pitch development. Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 1-5: Sports Experience with Coach Laura Caruso and Coach Dave Carlo Sharpen your skills, problem-solve, and build new friendships through fun games and activities. Students will engage in activities geared towards skill reinforcement, sportsmanship development, teamwork building, communication improvement, and leadership enhancement. Students will be placed into groups that match their age level and skill. Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 2-4: Author Adventures with Cathy Lopez (Max 16) Do you love to read and tell stories? Have you ever had a great idea for a story? Here, you’ll go on thrilling adventures every day without ever having to leave Peck. Create the next great story using skills on poetry, graphic novels, and chapter books for you to bring home and share with your family and friends. Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 3-5: Mini Masters with Christine Walker (Max 14) Kids will become mini masters by exploring materials and techniques used by famous artists! Create big, beautiful flowers inspired by Georgia O'Keefe, hanging sculptures like Dale Chihuly, bright colored, mixed media art like Jen Stark, and more! Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 3-6: Scratch Video Game Design with Jen Garvey (Max 10) Ever wonder how video games are created? Design your own game using Scratch programming. You'll go through the design cycle to plan, test, and redesign your game to ensure players are challenged and engaged. Throughout the week, you'll test other campers' games and give each other feedback to make them even better. No Scratch experience is necessary. All levels welcome! Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 5-8: Laser Cutter Creations with Scott Beil (Max 10) Experience the awesome possibilities of combining art, imagination, and lasers. Mr. Beil will be your guide as you bring your art to life in exciting new ways using our Epilog Laser Cutter. Transform a sketch into a 3D sculpture, make a piece of 3D wall art for your room, or turn an idea into a piece of jewelry, a keychain, a puzzle, a metallic trading card, or even your own board game. Let your creativity soar as you explore these and other possibilities during this exciting week of art and technology. Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 8: SSAT Prep with Stewart Wilkinson and Jason Guss (Max 18) This class is designed to review the concepts and exercises that are covered on the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). It will be divided between the math and verbal sections. Instruction time will include formal lessons on test concepts, test-taking strategies, and practice tests. This class is suited for students who have not yet taken the test and for students needing a review. Fee: $350
Afternoon Classes: 12:30 - 3 p.m.
Rising Gr. 1-3: Digital Storytelling with Jen Garvey (Max 14) Do you love creating stories and poetry? Do you love tech? Come have fun with both and bring your stories to life using multimedia applications like Book Creator, iMovie, and more. You will learn the latest features of these programs and how to enhance your stories for your audience to enjoy. Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 1-3: Summer Art Club with Christine Walker (Max 14) Create summer-themed art projects this week both in the art room and outside! We will look to nature for inspiration to create sun prints, under-the-sea paintings, and garden collages. We will work with various materials and techniques while having fun creating art together! Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 1-5: Basketball with Coach Laura Caruso and Coach Dave Carlo This afternoon sports experience class is all about BASKETBALL. Coaches Caruso and Carlo will sharpen your skills and help you build new friendships as you dive into this sport. Students will engage in activities geared towards skill reinforcement, sportsmanship development, teamwork building, problem-solving, communication improvement, and leadership enhancement. Students will be placed into groups that match their age level and skill. Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 3-5: Drum Circle with Sebastian Guerrero (Max 10) Campers will spend the week focusing on their inner beat while working in ensemble drum rhythms that span the globe. Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 4-6: Design Central with Dr. Kathy Kennedy (Max 15) Teams will design and test engineering solutions throughout the week. Based on the lab experiences from third grade, students take their roller coaster-building skills to the next level! Campers will also build a free-standing ring of Pringles chips, design a paper table and design their own bubble solution. Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 5-8: Digital Painting and Photo Editing with Scott Beil (Max 12) Spend the week on the cutting edge of digital painting, photography, and digital photo editing. Learn how to create a digital painting, enhance your photographs, transform objects, stitch unrelated images together and create eye-popping special effects. Mr. Beil will guide you through a series of projects that will excite your imagination, boost your art skills, and enhance your experience in digital painting and digital photography. Have fun editing as you take your art to the next level. Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 6-8: Robotics with Bruce Schwartz (Max 12) Mr. Schwartz is offering this camp for prospective robotics team members who are interested in learning and understanding the competition requirements and commitments to the team. Students will design and build robots and program them to complete several set missions. Fee: $350

Ages 3-5: Pre-K Adventures with Maribel Mohr and Kristin Young (Max 18) Calling all playful preschoolers! Do you like to create, build, imagine, explore, and make new friends? Then this is the camp for you! Whether you’re digging in the garden, creating a masterpiece, or designing and building your own invention, you’re sure to enjoy the Peck Pre-K Summer Adventures in our cheerful kindergarten building. This half-day, morning-only camp with Kindergarten Teachers Mrs. Mohr and Mrs. Young is for children ages 3 to 5 who are not yet entering kindergarten in September. Children must be fully potty-trained in order to attend this camp. Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 1-3: Mission STEM with Jason Guss (Max 18) Are you creative? Are you enthusiastic? Do you love design challenges? In this summer camp class we will work together to build, bolster, and break! We will make playdough, explore optical illusions, make edible DNA, and more! Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 1-3: Fun and Games with Coach Laura Caruso Relay races, minute-to-win it, and yard games galore! Join Coach Caruso and your friends for a summer camp class that is just pure fun. Let’s run around and have a ball! Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 2-6: Claymation with Scott Beil (Max 10) Enjoy a fun-filled week exploring the art of stop-motion clay animation (Claymation), with Mr. Beil to create your very own short film. In this session, you will learn how to plan a storyboard, draw & sculpt characters, craft backgrounds, film with cameras, and use computer software to edit and add sound effects to your movie. After a fun week of creating, you will see your imagination come to life on the big screen at our fifth-annual Peck Summer Camp Film Festival, which takes place on the last day of camp. Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 4-8: Woodshop/Snack Shop with Christina Dietz (Max 10) This class is about wooden utensils and the food that goes with them! You will use classic woodworking hand tools like files, rasps, and saws to make wooden kitchen items and then explore different cooking processes in order to make tasty snacks! We will make HOMEMADE ICE CREAM* and ice cream spoons, homemade butter*, jam and spreading knives. And serve it all up on your mini cutting board! *Dairy free options will be available. Fee: $350

Rising Gr. 1-3: S'mores, Forts, and Outdoor Fun with Camryn Bindra and Elizabeth Monkemeier (Max 18) Get ready for some classic camp fun! During this week, we will build forts, make crafts, play games and sing campfire songs. We will even roast marshmallows and make some delicious S’mores! Fee: $350
Rising Gr. 2-6: Neighborhood Adventures with Jason Guss (Max 13) Get to know Morristown with your favorite Peck friends. Each day we will go on a local adventure and experience the fun that is happening in our own backyard! Some adventures include a statue scavenger hunt, a trip to the creamery, and visiting the Morristown Game Vault. Fee: $375
