The Thanksgiving Food Drive - Another Timeless Tradition

Since 1977, The Peck School has held an annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Every year, in the early weeks of November, students, parents, and Peck faculty and staff donate items of food for the Interfaith Food Pantry in Morristown. The Pantry currently distributes 15,000 pounds of food to 325 families each week!
This year, the Community Service Committee of the Parents Association, led by  NaTishia Aromire and Ashley Lan, reported that they delivered 889 lbs of food and 61 frozen turkeys (totaling 815 lbs) to the Pantry from this year's drive.  Additionally, due to the tremendous generosity of our families, the Parents Association will be making at least a  $776.55 donation to the Interfaith Food Pantry for the holidays!

The Pantry is always in need of donations. About 65% of their food distribution comes from local organizations and individuals. Donations can be taken to their location at 2 Executive Drive in Morristown Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Special arrangements can be made by calling 973-538-8049, extension 217.
