Peck Students Selected for Statewide Chemistry Challenge

On Saturday morning, March 3rd, four bright young chemistry students from The Peck School in Morristown participated in the BASF “You Be The Chemist” Challenge at the BASF Headquarters on Park Avenue.
Along with 24 students from other regional schools, Peck students Megan Wu, Helen Pertsemlidis, Bruce Dubel (Grade 8), and Pierce Malloy (Grade 7) volunteered to compete in the regional competition. They prepared for the chemistry challenge entirely on their own time outside of schoolwork.

Megan and Pierce will be advancing to the State Competition in April and Helen secured an alternate spot. Special recognition goes out to Bruce, sister Julia ’17, and the Dubel family, who have been part of the competition for 3 years. Their participation will be missed.
