Financial Aid

Affording a Peck Education

If you understand the value of an education at The Peck School yet worry about the affordability, here are a few things you should know:

  • Over $1 million dollars of tuition assistance is offered to families by Peck each year.
  • The current household income range for Peck families receiving some form of tuition assistance is $30K - $350K.
  • 15% of Peck students currently receive tuition assistance
  • An investment in early education has a dramatic impact on your child's trajectory. Click here to read some of the benefits of an independent school education.
Each year The Peck School designates an amount of financial aid to be awarded to families. Beginning in November, application information is shared with current families receiving aid at Peck, families in the community requesting aid for the first time, and families who have indicated on an admissions application that they would like to receive financial aid information.

To apply for aid, families will be directed to TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services). TADS will review your financial information and suggest to us what your family's ability to pay for your child's tuition should be.

Financial Aid Procedure Steps

  • Complete & Submit a TADS Application (November-January 15)

To apply for aid for the upcoming school year, you will need to complete a TADS Financial Aid Application.

In order to apply, you may do so online by clicking on the links on this page, or you may contact TADS directly by calling 1-800-344-8328.

The TADS application should be completed and submitted to TADS
by January 15. Any parent requiring assistance should call the TADS toll-free helpline.

For returning families with an existing TADS account: please click here to begin the application.

Please note: In situations of divorced, separated, or never married parents, both natural parents – and their current spouses, if any - must complete the financial aid process. It is the responsibility of the custodial parent to ask the non-custodial parent to complete the process. All information will be kept in the strictest confidence. The Financial Aid Committee will be unable to award a grant unless all parents complete the process.
  • Submit Supporting Documents to TADS (By February 10)

Once TADS receives your application, they will request supporting documentation.

Parents will be asked to submit a copy of their prior Form 1040 Federal Tax Return, complete with all schedules and W-2 forms, within 5 business days of submitting their TADS application.

With this information, TADS will conduct an
    estimated financial assessment.

Parents will then be asked to submit the current year's tax filings form 1040 Federal Tax Return, complete with all schedules and W-2 forms,
no later than February 10th. This most recent tax return will be needed to confirm a family's financial assessment.
  • OPTIONAL: Submit Personal Letter (By February 10)

Any parent wishing to offer additional information in support of their application may submit a letter by February 10.
  • Financial Aid Awards (March)

Complete financial aid applications of all accepted and returning students will be reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee in mid February. Parents will be notified of the Committee's decision as soon as possible thereafter.

Please Note: Each application for financial aid is reviewed separately from the admissions application. Aid is granted on a needs basis and is determined by a family's ability to meet educational expenses, not a willingness or unwillingness to pay.

Families who choose not to apply for financial aid when applying for admission to the school will not be considered for a financial aid award in the future unless their financial situation changes significantly.  Families receiving financial aid will need to reapply for aid each year, therefore grants may be adjusted if the family's financial situation changes.

The Peck School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or family composition in the administration of its admissions policies and financial aid programs.
