The Peck School community gathered at our February all-school Kairos Assembly, where Jane Attah, Second Grade Homeroom Teacher, received the 2025 Faculty and Staff Award for Community Connections. This cherished award, established in memory of Peck parent David Schnur, recognizes a faculty or staff member who fosters deep and meaningful relationships with students—connections that inspire growth, belonging, and transformation.
Nominated by her peers, Ms. Attah was celebrated for her unwavering dedication to her students both in and beyond the classroom. Colleagues described her as someone who "pours her whole heart into being the best teacher she can be" and who creates a "safe, nurturing environment where students feel valued long after they leave her classroom."
Her impact extends well beyond second grade, as she makes a conscious effort to reconnect with students throughout their years at Peck. Whether chatting with eighth graders in the hallway, keeping up with alumni, or sharing inspiring stories of past students with her current class, Ms. Attah embodies the spirit of community that makes Peck so special.
Students and families alike recognize the lasting influence of her kindness, dedication, and high expectations—encouraging students to rise to their full potential. It is with great pride that The Peck School congratulates Jane Attah on this well-deserved recognition.
