We have an additional three members of our faculty joining the Peck community as the 2024-2025 school year begins. Help us give a warm welcome to the following faculty members:
Emma Hughes is a recent graduate of Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a concentration in Environmental Science. She will be joining third grade as an associate teacher and is currently enrolled in Seton Hall University’s Master of Teaching program from which she will graduate in May 2025. Emma has experience working with students through teaching, coaching, and tutoring. She is very excited to be a part of the Peck School and we are lucky to have her!
Mia Sidlowski is a 2024 graduate of Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and will be joining first grade as an associate teacher. Mia worked at The Orchard Academy in Warren this past summer and has spent the past several summers volunteering at the Greater Newark Life Camp supporting campers in a variety of activities like swimming, biking, and music, and developing social and computer skills. Her references raved about her work ethic, intelligence, and ability to work with children.
Rebecca Neeb joins the Peck community as the Upper School’s French Teacher for grades 5-8. A Teach for America alum, she holds a bachelor’s in French Language and Literature from Marist College, a Master’s in Education from Johns Hopkins School of Education, and has studied at Sorbonne Université in Paris. Ms. Neeb has tutored students of varying ages in the French language for several years, and, most recently, held the role of Focus and Literature Instructor at Winston Prep (NJ), teaching literature in grades 6-12 and providing learning support. In 2019, her second year with the Teach for America corps, she received a Beginning Teacher of the Year Award from her North Carolina elementary school placement.
