The microscopic world revealed its secrets to the seventh grade science lab, as students examined various different objects such as pieces of human tissue to textured letters.
This hands-on exploration is a pivotal part of their science curriculum, offering these budding scientists a chance to unravel the mysteries hidden in the samples they examined.
Gasps of amazement and whispers of excitement filled the air as previously unseen details came into focus. The cellular structures and intricate patterns of objects that were once invisible to the naked eye unfolded before students, opening a window into a world that exists beyond everyday perception.
“After learning about the different parts of microscopes and how they work, we are taking it a step further by putting the microscopes to use, examining things like slices of a human heart. We then have to draw detailed drawings of what we observe to prove that we are using the equipment correctly,” explained Oliver Witte `25.
