Frequently Asked Questions

List of 8 items.

  • How do I get in touch with the Admissions Office?

    Please email Wanda Fiorini, Admissions Assistant, at wfiorini@peckschool.org or call 973-539-8660, ext. 108. Voicemails will be forwarded to our off-campus location.
  • How can I learn more about Peck’s program and campus without touring?

    Peck is a 125-year old institution in the heart of Morristown, NJ. Students and faculty benefit from a true campus experience, with seven state-of-the-art academic buildings positioned on 14 beautiful acres.  Peck is immediately accessible off of I-287 and is walkable to the center of downtown Morristown, where our students benefit from a range of cultural and volunteer opportunities.

    For a sneak peek into academic and campus life, please enjoy our 360 degree virtual tours, as well as our official school video.

    For a look at Peck's Distance Learning program, see our students in action here!

    Lastly, in order to learn more about Peck’s academic program and offerings, we encourage you to schedule a Virtual Parent Meeting with a member of our Admissions Team.

    This will be a pre-scheduled, private appointment (via Google Hangouts or Zoom) for us to discuss your child, for you to learn about our educational approach, and for you to have your specific questions addressed. Virtual Parent Meetings last approximately 30 minutes.
  • Do you have spaces for the 2020-21 school year?

    The admissions season typically runs from September-March for the upcoming academic year. Optimal opportunity for enrollment exists when following this timeline.  That said, inquiries for entrance to all grades are welcomed at any point during the year.  In order to receive more information about space availability in the grade level you are seeking, please contact our office directly.
  • Are you still accepting applications?

    While the optimal opportunity for enrollment exists when applying between September-March for the upcoming academic year, families are welcome and encouraged to apply at any time.  Spaces in each grade level are limited. For grade levels that are at capacity, a wait pool is established for qualified and interested candidates. If a space becomes available, a child from the wait pool is offered the opportunity to enroll.
  • How has the admissions process changed given the current COVID-19 pandemic?

    Peck’s admissions process has always been about personal connection. Even digitally, we are still able to provide that experience to prospective families. Depending on the grade level you are seeking for your child, the steps in the admissions process vary, as does our approach to digitally fulfilling those requirements. For more information, please contact the Admissions Office directly so that we may discuss available options with you.
  • How do I learn about Peck’s Distance Learning Program?

    Peck’s distance learning program has five main goals:

    1) to continue the targeted and differentiated instructional program that Peck is known for, albeit virtually

    2)  to maintain Peck’s strong community bonds for students and families;

    3) to nurture student agency, curiosity, and an authentic love of learning;

    4)  to provide support and resources to parents and families during this challenging time;

    5) and to learn and grow as a community, as we explore new modes of learning and connecting.

    Please see the above links and follow us on social media for more insight into how Peck is offering an engaging, challenging, and truly connected remote learning experience for our students.
  • Can I still apply for financial aid?

    While financial aid applications are welcome at any time throughout the year, optimal opportunity for receipt of a financial aid award exists for families who submit both admissions and financial aid applications by January 15.

    The school does retain a financial aid wait pool for academically qualified students whose families demonstrate financial need. Reasons for being placed in the financial aid wait pool may include limited spaces in the grade level or limited remaining financial aid funds. It is always our recommendation that families interested in applying for admission and financial aid do so at any point in the year.
  • Do Peck faculty have recommendations for educational activities to do at home?

    Yes!  Several teachers have gathered a robust list of quality, at-home children's activities that are both fun and educational, and serve a wide range of ages and interests.

    Please visit our Parent COVID-19 resource page to view the list, as well as other parent resources which you may find helpful!
