belonging built
Founded in 1893, Peck is a school built on one powerful idea: that academic achievement must be grounded in values; namely, the Consideration of Others.
In Peck’s K-8, co-ed program, your child will not only learn to think creatively, problem solve, and stay curious, but they will also build relationships full of respect, courage, care, resilience, and gratitude. In our close-knit community, we live our values every day, and not just in our character education programming. From shared meals at lunch to service projects to emphasizing Consideration of Others in all things, Peck is a place where your child will learn to grow in character and lead a healthy, productive, and principled life.

Redefining Rigor
We value rigor as the courage to think deeply and creatively, to embrace challenges, and to persevere. We commit to hard work and curiosity as a foundation for strong character and lifelong learning. At Peck, rigor means:
Consideration of Others
Since the school’s founding in 1893, character development has been a key component to Peck’s educational philosophy. Head of School Tom Greene added Consideration of Others to student report cards in the 1960s to highlight a student’s demonstration of character values each semester—a practice we still maintain today.
