Your application to The Peck School helps us to get to know you and your child better.
Your Application Checklist
- Please call the Admissions Office and ask for an application packet or download and complete the application available on this website.
- Schedule a tour and Parent Visit through the Admissions Office. The hour visits are conducted during the school week from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
- Complete the application form and submit with the $100 application/testing fee. Families applying for financial aid may request a fee waiver.
- After submission of the application, you will receive from The Peck School a Teacher Recommendation Form. This form should be given to the candidate's current teacher, completed and returned directly to Peck. Two additional forms should be completed by your child's current English and math teachers if he or she is applying for grades Five through Eight.
- You will also receive a Transcript Release Form. This form should be given to the candidate's current school after the first reporting period and returned to Peck.
- Schedule a student visit to the Peck School. Kindergarten Applicants will have two school visits arranged by the Director of Admissions. The first is an individual testing session held between November and February. The second one hour playgroup visit in the Kindergarten takes place on a Friday afternoon between December and February.
- Grade One and Two Applicants will spend a half-day visiting a Peck class with students who would be the applicant's classmates the following year. During that visit the child will have an individual testing session.
- Grade Three through Eight Applicants will spend a full day visiting a class with students who would be the applicant's classmates the following year. A Group Standardized Test is given to students entering grades 3-8 and will be administered on Saturday, January 24, 2009.
- Following your child's visit, his or her testing, and our receipt of all forms, your child's file will be ready for the Admissions Committee to process. We will make admission decisions in March.
